Lot of positives from this game. Main one being Jordan Love knocked off a lot of rust and came out no worse for the wear.

Lot of negatives too. Kicker is ass. OL got bullied in run game. DL couldn't get consistent pressure. CB2 and CB4 just aren't good enough to cover guys like Jefferson and Addison.

1.
didn't quit, the biggest and one of the fewest positives
2. I was not familiar with the expression "is ass"
so thank you for broadening my horizons.
Per the Urban dictionary

is ass
–adjective

an object of mild annoyance; irritatingly bothersome

accordingly, I don't think "is ass" is quite
strong enough.
3. Re CBs, no, our guys aren't great, in fact they are not very good, but with that pass rush, Herb Adderley and Deion Sanders would not have been good enough.

I just got home. I've been going to game for more than 20 years the first half was probably the worst I've ever seen and I went to a handful of games in the 70 and 80s. F for everyone offense, defense, special teams and coaching staff. Horrendous.

While the second half was better the Vickie's were more interested in milking the clock. As soon as the Packers got close the FG more or less put the game out of reach.

Even so the sack fumble and Cooper recovering it had the crowd in a frenzy. I don't think I have ever heard them THAT loud. Probably 20-25% louder than what they typically are when they try to drown out the offensive team. It was like standing on the tarmac when a jet was taking off. I was impressed. I wish we could have that kind of noise more often when the Packers are on defense. Then again I wish the Packers defense earned that kind of noise more often.
Nite all.

"is ass" is only for mild annoyances? I thought it was much stronger than that

What happened to an aggressive pass rush? There was absolutely no rush today aside from a couple blitzes where guys were unblocked. It’s like they were trying to contain Darnold so he wouldn’t run. News flash: Darnold is not a running QB. The guy had all day back there. This is probably the #1 reason the Packers lost.

Also- Aaron Jones killed us, as I suspected. Very annoying.

Oh, and yeah we need a kicker. 37 yarders should be automatic. Terrible.

Losing CB1 and CB3 probably impacted the confidence in being aggressive with the pass rush. Vikings have three WR's who are weapons. Those unblocked "blitzes" were designed.
Aaron Jones didn't score a point and wasn't that much of a factor. He amassed a good chunk of total yards, but he was less of an impact that I figured he'd be.

It should have done the opposite... the crappier your coverage guys are, or to be nice, the worse the matchup, the more you need pressure.
They should have taken more risks with the ends, not less.

Packers held old friend Aaron Jones to 1 yard or less on 8 of his 22 carries Sunday.

Z2C, you have brought to mind an interesting statistic. I have long argued that 'average' should not be used as the go to statistic when looking at a running back. Rather median should be used.

If a runner gets the following sequence 1 yard, 2 yards, 12 yards, 1 yard, 3 yards, 1 yards, 20
yards: that is a
5 yard average. However to me, this series of numbers would indicate an ineffective run game. Herein the median would be 2.5 yards

However, if the series was 5,4,1,5,6,4,8 and 7yards, it is still a 5 yard average but it is much more drive sustaining and better run game, as the median is 5.5 yards

Another one pointing out who's CB2.
