Mucky Tundra;468104It would be great if the Packers can come out, jump all over the Saints and make it academic by the end of the 3rd so some of the starters can get a breather in the 4th. Also, as fun as it might be to batter the Saints D with Jacobs getting the rock 25 times, I think MLF needs to start pacing his touches a little bit to try to keep him effective for the playoffs.

It would be nice to pull a few of the starters before the end of the game. The trouble is the limit of 48 players dressing for a game. There is a lack of depth at some positions. With an injury in the 4th Q, a player or two that expected to be finished for the day will have to get back out on the field. That can lead to an injury. (I know that is a lot of what ifs and maybes.)

Saints coach Darren Rizzi makes it official: Spencer Rattler will start Monday night against the Packers, while RB Alvin Kamara is unlikely to play because of his groin injury.

With Kamara out and the Saints starting a backup QB, the pass rush needs to get home and rattle Rattler.

Saints' Rattler preps for Lambeau with reps in walk-in freezer

The New Orleans Saints had an unusual way of preparing rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler for Monday night's game against the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin, where temperatures of 30 degrees or lower and potential snow are expected at Lambeau Field.

Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko took Rattler and the rest of the Saints' quarterbacks into the walk-in freezer in the team's cafeteria Saturday to run through plays.

"This morning, Janocko took us in the cafeteria freezer, where it was like 10 degrees, and we're just going through the whole script in there, and so just doing that, that helped a lot," Rattler said. "So hopefully it's not 10 degrees, but we'll be ready."

Oh Rattler, you sweet summer child.

If we win Monday night, we clinch a playoff berth. After the Vikings game, do we sit starters in week 18? I dont see much of a difference between 6th seed and 7th seed tbh. As it stands, we either play the Eagles(7th seed) or Rams(6th seed).

If GB has a spot locked, I would think the starters play until halftime. After that, guys would start getting pulled depending on position+depth. That's what MLF did in 2021 vs Detroit in the last week of the season.

Packers 31 - 13 Saints

If Packers jump out to a quick two score lead -- this one gonna be a short game cuz Packers will run, run and run more. And then when they pass, it'll be short dink and dunk passes that are high percentage throws to keep clock ticking.

id like to see Malik late in the game if we go up 3+ scores.

Then next week will be our dress up game for the playoffs which FOX just flexed to the prime time slot.

Then week 18, play one half and sit the starters.

Thanks for mentioning that, I missed that.

I remember I wanted the Packers to use a late round pick on Brown. I liked him a lot as a nickel CB.

And he was one of the bigger slot guys and Gute seems to value size a lot, or at least refuses to go small, and most slot/nickels are smaller guys.
