Ian Rapoport: The top guard is off the market: Sources say 49ers G Aaron Banks is expected to sign with the Packers, as QB Jordan Love gets another bodyguard.

Assumed GB would splash on either a pass rusher or CB so I didn't see this coming. Paired with reports that Myers will not be resigned, does that mean that Jenkins or Rhyan gets moved to C?

This "top-ranked" guard was ranked 9th amongst guard in FA class, per PFF
https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2025-free-agent-rankings-guards...but again, am not overly enamored with PFF anyway.
Hopefully knows the system, a good locker room guy.
Have gave up very few sacks.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Morgan.
Maybe there are not as high on Rhyan as some.
I still see Morgan at LT

With that contract, I would expect him to start. But at LG or RG?
Walker - Banks - Jenkins - Rhyan - Tom?
Or do they put him on the other side and move Rhyan to center?
Walker - Jenkins - Rhyan -
Banks - Tom?
Morgan the swing tackle and competing for LT?

Well, all the philosophers got their wish on this one regarding building the lines. Build the lines it is said. Problem is it's very pricey. I have a tendency to agree with this plan, but damn the bitching isn't going away from such a large percentage of Packer fans. It would be helpful if he was any good.

Tweeter and BlueSky are full of nimrods wanting to move our All-Pro LG to C. I wish it would stop. (Gosh that sounds super rage there, sorry, it's meant to be more tongue in cheek than someone smashing the hell out of their keyboard) This isn't Madden.
This Guard, TOP GUARD 😜 available by the way can play both LG and RG with equal greatness.
Walker/Morgan - JENKINS - ??? - Banks - Tom
We probably need to add a free agent Center for depth and probably drafting one in 3rd or 4th round.
The only real opening is Center. The other four spots are spoken for.

Banks was 72nd out of 200 top free agents per ProFootballFocus
72. G Aaron Banks, San Francisco 49ers
Here's PFF's Guard list for free agents

Jenkins to center seems likely the most likely thing unless they draft a center early. But I'm not sure why they would sign a guard to this deal if they plan to get their center in the draft.
I'm not sure they need to sign or draft a center - they drafted Monk last year. But I won't be surprised if they take a versatile OL in the 4th or 5th who can play G/C like they tend to do.
