Eagles to visit Packers in 'Monday Night Football' matchup on Nov. 10

The first game announced on the "Monday Night Football" schedule will feature the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers, two NFC rivals who have been engaged in an offseason shoving match of sorts.

When the Packers host the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles on Nov. 10, it will pit the teams at the center of the tush push debate. Green Bay authored the proposal to ban Philadelphia's short-yardage tactic, which was tabled at the annual league meeting last month and will likely be revisited at next week's spring meeting.

In February, the Packers submitted the rule proposal to outlaw the quarterback sneak, which has become a largely unstoppable play for the Eagles.

The NFL and media love to create drama where none exists.

The home game around Veterans Day week is usually the second Gold Package game for me. The 5th home game.

This morning I was thinking about how I could divide my 3 games.
My plan was to take my wife to the preseason game. It will be warmer. The crowds not as large and it will be easier for her to get around.
I would let my son and daughter in law take home game #2. Usually in early October. My wife and I would go to their place in Michigan to watch the kids. The adult kids would get a weekend to themselves. The grandparents and little ones get play time. I would be out of the office on both Friday and Monday. It's a win for everyone.
Game 3, the one that might be the MNF game would be the one my son and I would go to. I love being there with him when the Packers honor the Vets. If it's a Monday game that complicates things. He won't get back until Tuesday. Fortunately he is private practice so perhaps he can juggle his schedule a bit.
