I don't follow that logic any more than I follow those dumb no-trade lists.

Because it's a concrete way to outlaw ridiculous 'friend' trades. I mean, what's in it for the team that isn't in contention?

And if anyone wanted an only Packers team, he could've started doing that about 8 weeks ago.

Yes, you can veto trades as well, but who will decide what an unfair trade is? Formo traded Andre Johnson away for Larry Johnson in the beginning of the season. I surely would've veto'd that, if I could, later on. In Formo's opinion, though, it was just a good trade for a RB-desperate team.

Why on earth would a team that's out of contention trade or release its entire roster, besides helping someone else to victory?

Hindsight is 20/20..
I would have kept Andre and figured out a different way to get a RB.
Considering Larry is now teamless.
