"boiled"With both Andre Smith and Nate Livings (guards) out it sounds like CIN will be a little weak in the interior line.
That can only be good for the Packers blitzing scheme.

David Jones, their nickel back, is also going to be out so I can see GB lighting it up when they get 3 receivers in the game.

I think Rodgers is going to have one hell of a game.

I actually could careless if Andre Smith played. He's a rookie and for him to try and grip our complex scheme is not likely in his 1st game. He's no vet so I would definitely welcome his debut.

I think this is a very dangerous game for us. The Bengals know the 3-4 very well. They played excellent offense in their last drive and Palmer should be settled now with his receivers having missed most of the preseason. Do not expect them to roll over so easily. If the Packers offense improves upon the Chicago game and plays as well as they did in the preseason, then watch out. Otherwise, do not be surprised if our vaunted defense suddenly looks mediocre against the Bengals.

I think we win by a big margin, because what I saw last week of Cincinnati, the only thing we need to take care is the OL.

I'm not afraid of the Bengals offense. They could muster up one TD drive last week against a Broncos defense that has been consistently horrible. Not saying that they're horrible now, but I still don't consider them an upper echolon defense.

Their defense, though, is pretty scary. Obviously, Orton isn't an amazing QB, but their young corners still nearly shut down Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal, while their very talented LB group held Buckhalter and Moreno to a very small amount of yards.

The thing that we got going for us is that they still don't have a great D-line, but with Keith Rivers - Dhani Jones - Rey Maualuga at LB and Jonathan Joseph coupled with Leon Hall at CB, that defense is looking pretty decent.

I hope that we can create some mismatches. As decent as their corners are, they're not going to contain Greg Jennings by themselfs. I asume that they'll get a lot of safety help. One of those safeties is Roy Williams... you do the math on that one.

"dfosterf"We need an offensive line that can block effectively.
Until then, all other match-ups are not relevant as pertaining to the rest of the offense, both rushing and passing.

I agree.

Nice use of smileys.

Anyway, normally I would agree, but I have a lot of trust in our interior O-line. At least on passing downs. Next to that, Peko really isn't a pass rusher and Tank Johnson, well, just frankly isn't that great.

Clifton will most likely be matched up with Odom for most of the night. Odom hasn't done anything since he came from the Titans. And even there he had just one good year.

Then we have Barbre going against Geathers. I really hope that he has been working on his skills so he can stop a speed rusher, or we'll be killed.
I really thinkg that Barbre should be able to take this guy, though, or there has been one huge mistake in the talent evaluation department.

This is as bad a DE as Barbre will face this season, most likely, so he should better step up right now.

Great points by Rockmolder.
Look to see both TEs featured more in the aerial game.
You have to take advantage of Roy Williams.

I sort of want to see Ocho do the Lambeau Leap...

I see Grant going off for 150 today.
