Any ideas what offensive changes will be implemented for this game following the Bears and Bengals experiences?
I for one wouldn't mind seeing a shift to include more "traditional" formations rather than 5 wide/4 wide w/ 1 TE, etc.
Empty backfield and spread sets always gave me the impression of being a good change of pace, "hey, you aren't ready for this one" formation.
It seems to me that being primarily a spread offense (the terminology is being used liberally here) allows the opposing team to gameplan specifically against that, and to do pretty well.
What do you guys think?

"Nonstopdrivel"I'm picking the Packers 24-21.
That'd be horrible, if you ask me. They can't put up points to safe their life against the Seahawks and mustered just 7 points against the Redskins.
If they're going to score 21 on us out of the blue and this is going to be a close game, I'll be studying some draft picks who should go around the 10th pick.

RAJI TWEAKED HIS ANKLE
UPDATE 2:10 p.m.: Raji "tweaked" his sprained ankle -- the same one that's kept him out of the first two games -- late in Thursday's practice and then sat out the rest of the session before returning to practice today.
According to Raji, it "shouldn't be" a setback, but then again players always say that kind of thing.
Just ask defensive coordinator Dom Capers.
"He told me it felt better," Capers said after practice. "I was a little concerned yesterday because he got his cleats (stuck) and slipped in the grass. After he did it, we took him out and didn't play him the rest of practice. So I was anxious to see him out there today, and, according to him, now it's going to be great according to him because he wants to play, and it's been great (according to him) for the last couple of weeks, but I think he's moving significantly better than what he was last week at this time."

"dhazer"Sorry guys but im making this my upset pick of the week. I see us struggling to stop Jackson and i see a few deep passes from the Rams being completed over our backup safety. I sure as hell hope im wrong but we have alot of holes on our team.
Not as many holes as St. Louis has, that's for damn sure.

i wish we could just get charged up like the 49'ers, they arent that great of a team but they are playing very clean and doing everything right; and i think we have a lot more talent than the niners so if we can just nail down the essentials we would be hard to beat, im still not sure about the o-line tho

I agree.
Singletary's doing a great job at convincing a bunch of no-namers that they're a Playoff team.
Yeah, Willis is tremendous and Gore was a top RB earlier in his career, but overall, we have a lot more talent.
Wish MM can convince our guys that we're a Playoff team and we start playing like one.

Nice post
back to the rams ...
To me this is the easiest pick of the week; us vs the rams ... As long as we can stop jackson we got this game in the bag.
Our passing game should dominate them and our secondary will keep them on the ground.
a 38-6 score sounds about right to me.
Our guys are pumped for a win ...
oh btw their big OT that they got in the draft is doubtful for tomorrows game.

Im from NorCal so we get the niner games, and let me tell you there Oline is awfull! First win came against the cardnials and only had 30 something rushing yards!
You are right about the essentials though ie guys who have the ball hit there hands and drop the pass.
One thing Id like to see: Grant rush for more than a hundred yards. Grants starting to look like a flash in the pan.
One thing I dont want to see: Ed "Flag throwing fuckin" Hockley. There is less laundry thrown in a busy whore house than last sunday!
