All signs point to Calvin Johnson being out this week according to Adam Schefter, which is great news because he almost singlehandidly won the 1st meeting against us for the Lions.

Rotowold
ESPN's Adam Schefter is skeptical about Calvin Johnson's (knee) availability for Week 6.

"The more I hear, the more I think Lions WR Calvin Johnson will not play Sunday at Green Bay due to his sprained knee," was Schefter's exact tweet. The Lions said they don't consider Johnson's injury "significant", but with a bye coming in Week 7 it would make sense to hold him out. Even if Johnson can't play, Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt wouldn't be very good fantasy options.

I'm so ancy for Sunday to come, this bye week was especially long after the loss to the Vikings.

Packers 24
Lions 13

Not a huge margin of victory but we dominate on defense.

Looking forward to clicking on all cylinders.
Complete domination on both sides of the ball is what i am hoping for.
Time to start playing with that fire we had in preseason.

I am looking for improvement along the basic elements of the game..

Cleaning up the silly penalties
Solid Line play.. both offensive and defensive.
Aggressively called defensive game

Raji to pop on film for the first real time this season... I also thing you are going to see two very active tight ends for the Packers.

On a different note, looking forward to seeing Stafford play a full game if he is cleared to play.. seen bits and parts of games.. should be interesting to see what kind of moxy the kid has on the road...

"AKamp74"I say Packers wake the eff up and explode on offense.

31-10

I want to see an offensive explosion.
I don't care if our D completely folds.
Sick of seeing punts.

Not I said the grasshopper.. I want to see a "take no prisoners" type defense that we read about and seen during camp.. what happened to the intensity?

Packers will use the next 2 games to fine tune everything and round into the team they can be.
Build confidence for the Vikings invading the Lambeau field.

Go Packers!

Update on Lions injury situation:
Link

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP)Matt Stafford took his first step toward returning from a knee injury. The Detroit Lions quarterback now has to wait to see if he took it too soon.

Stafford returned to practice Wednesday after missing Sundays loss to Pittsburgh with a knee injury. Its not clear whether he has a shot at playing against Green Bay (2-2) this weekend.

It was good to be doing something again, he said. The question will be how it reacts tomorrow. Im not even thinking about playing on Sunday right now
I just want to see how it feels on Thursday.

Stafford, who sustained a knee injury in an Oct. 4 loss at Chicago, acknowledged that he isnt 100 percent.

It is on its way, but I can still feel it a little bit, he said. Its not a lot of fun watching from the sidelines, but well have to see how this goes. Im not going to know for a few more days.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz was cautiously optimistic.

Hes improvingdoing a little more every daybut theres still a long way to go until Sunday and definitely a lot of ground left to be covered, he said.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson(notes) (knee) did not practice.

Hes also improving, but you saw that he wasnt able to do things today, Schwartz said. If he cant go, we have other guys who will have to step up, but it definitely changes the way a defense will play us. Calvin is the kind of guy that a coordinator always has to account for when hes on the field.

After the road trip to play the Packers, the Lions (1-4) have a bye week.

Alright, so it is looking like Stafford and Johnson may be out for this game. If that is the case, this needs to be a GUARANTEED blow-out. Two huge offensive weapons possibly out???

Packers D dominates even more if these two are gone.

I sure hope this is a breakout game of sorts for our Defense. If i'm Dom Capers, I would just bring the heat all game long and make Culpepper uncomfortable from start to finish.
