Let's hope they put this one away without a problem. With the recent injuries on defense this following statement might not stand, but, I think the Packers are a better team than the last time we played the Lions. The score shows that we put the Lions away without much problem, but there were problems in that game, especially on offense. Hopefully we can move the ball on them without much trouble, and punch the ball into the end zone when we're in the red zone giving the defense some breathing room this week. Then it's a nice long break at 7-4 and we're back at home against the beatable Baltimore Ravens. IF we can address the gaps left by injury, I think the season is still looking up.

Well, if Stafford and Johnson are indeed out this week, just like in our last game, we should be able to kick their butts pretty easily.

If not, I'm still not too concerned, as Stafford tends to let Megatron go up for the ball, just throwing it somewhere in his area half the time. Now I'm not saying that Charles will stop that every time, but I'd see at least one of those resulting in a pick.

At the moment, Stafford and Johnson are noted as not playing on Thursday.

This is huge and even if they did play I think the Packers can pull this one out with a huge offensive showing. The Lions always do play tough on Thanksgiving for some reason but I don't see the Packers letting this one slip away. I will be interested to see how the defensive backfield plays. IMO, it is a good game to have rookies play full time in.

I'm actually worried, because if we lose, we can pretty much say goodbye to the season.
We need to beat the teams that we are supposed to beat *cough* Tampa *cough* and try our best to beat the big teams *cough* Dallas *cough*.

Look at our schedule.

Lions -- We should win.
Better win.

Ravens -- They are very beatable, but they're a very good team as well.

Bears -- With the way Cutler has been playing, hopefully we don't have trouble beating them again.

Steelers -- If are to only lose one more game in the remainder of our schedule, I think this is the one that it will be.

Seahawks -- Shouldn't be too difficult to win this game.

Cardinals -- Season finale.
Will be a big game, especially considering it is an NFC team.
With their high powered offense, we better hope that the young guys can step up and fill in for Al Harris.

So with that said, I think we should end up being 12-4 or 11-5.
Hopefully, that is good enough to slip into the playoffs.

I see A-Rod having a field day against the Lions.

I think I'll put Driver and Jennings and A-Rod in my fantasy team this week.

I hope we win this game. It'll be nice to have the extra four or so days off to rest up. Like coach says, sort of like having a second bye week towards the later half of the season.

I'm hoping for a 31 - 3 type of score.

I couldn't believe hearing Mike and Mike this morning picking the Lions over the Packers. I thought when they picked Oakland over Dallas that was more reasonable but c'mon fellas.

Stafford is still questionable...I see him playing though from watching their post-practice videos.

S Calvin Johnson Hand/Knee DNP DNP
S Kalvin Pearson Hamstring DNP DNP
S Ko Simpson Knee DNP DNP
LB Ernie Sims
Hamstring DNP DNP
QB Matthew Stafford Knee/Left Shoulder DNP DNP

That is the Monday/Tuesday listing. Bolded names would be pretty significant losses to their team.

Doesn't appear on the injury report.. but will have an impact Thursday.

http://www.profootballweekly.com/2009/11/22/will-jackson-push-eagles-for-more-money

The Lions are quietly freaked about the loss of ORG Stephen Peterman (ankle injury), who was grading out as one of their best linemen this season. The blocking has been poor most of the season, and the Lions have to be concerned about the health of QB Matthew Stafford, who has taken a lot of hits lately

Ernie Sims out will be great for us establishing the run game early.
I look for a repeat early game plan as against the Niners.
I'm fine with the bend but don't break defense at the end of a game, but not how far we bent last week.
