Dear Kevin

Thank you for contacting online support. After reviewing your account, I show that there are no server side issue that are causing this latency. However, it does appear that you have images that are causing higher load times due to their file size. We ask that you modify these files for better performance.

Please let us know if we can assist in any other way.
Sincerely,
Carina P

Interesting, I was not aware images could cause session time outs.

Dear Kevin,

Thank you for your reply.
We have reviewed your account and could not find any issues with the hosting server. The type of issue you are experiencing is most likely caused by coding or scripting. There are several objects including images on your page that are slowing your website down.
Unfortunately, because we do not provide coding support, we are unable to determine what specifically in your code may be causing the error.

You may wish to review your code to determine if there are any issues, because it appears that is the most likely cause of the error. You may also wish to enable detailed error messages as a temporary diagnostic measure. The procedure for this will vary, depending on the scripting language being used. We also recommend consulting both the vendor's online documentation, as well as the large number of online forums dedicated to coding and scripting.

If you determine there is no issue with the code itself and believe the issue is server related, please reply with specific evidence of this and we will investigate the matter further.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Sincerely,

Stephen P.

The only thing worse than boilerplate responses is boilerplate responses signed with a name to give them the patina of authenticity.
Come on, people, just be honest you selected the closest match from your list of templates and be done with it.

I'm getting pretty close to dedicating an entire day figuring out the source of this issue, and if its the host, moving it.

I think they should give you the logs that indicate it's a problem on your end.

Dear Kevin,

Unfortunately, I cannot accurately provide a comparison between your services here and your older services with 1and1, because I would not know how their system is configured. However, server timeouts are generally caused when a connection remains latent too long, or is running much longer than it should be. Sometimes, this can occur if a connection is not properly closed on your page, but usually it relates to the amount of data being pulled from the database, or issues with the content of the database. In general, optimization of your database is the most common method of resolving these issues, as we have reviewed the account and verified that there is not an high load on the database server.

If this issue is intermittent, it is possible that there is a high load occurring on the servers at some time during the day, but without being able to duplicate this it is difficult to verify if this is the cause. With intermittent issues, we recommend that you contact our Support center by phone when the issue next occurs. If we are able to troubleshoot while the issue is occurring, we have a better chance of properly identifying the cause of the issue. Our Support center is 24/7, and can be reached at 480.505.8877.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

Sincerely,
Dave D.

Both last night (I forgot the time) and again this morning (from 9 to 11:20 a.m.) I couldn't get on at all.
Every time I tried, whether on Safari or Firefox, I got the following message:

A error occured while processing this page.
Please report the following error to the owner of this website.

template->_tpl_load(): File themes/default/template/blocks/block-High_Kudos.html does not exist or is empty
