in another league in an hour and a half i'm set to draft 5th. do i take Rodgers, Gore, Turner? the homer in me is really leaning toward Rodgers...especially because it's a 10 team league and the depth at RB is so much larger than elite QBs like Rodgers.

Definitely take a running back. You can find a quality starting QB like Flacco, E. Manning, McNabb or Kolb in rounds 5-7. The difference between Rodgers' and Manning's points totals is much lesser that Turner's and say, Ahmad Bradshaw's.

Good one.
I don't like drafting between 5th or 6th this year.
At 5, you can of course hope that someone will jump on a guy like Brees or Rodgers, maybe taking Gore or Turner over MJD/Ray Rice.
I know I wouldn't want to spend my first pick on a guy who has only played all 16 games just once in the last few years, none in the last three.
Next to that, he has a great average and all, but he really doesn't get the amazing amount of reps that most guys around that pick get.
I think that Turner will bounce back. Their running game and passing game amplify eachother and Matt Ryan has looked decent. Having Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez on your offense should open up some things, regardless.

i just drafted in a 12 team keeper league and I had 9th pick.
Worked out good i like my team. I have Rodgers and Flacco
Jennings, Bolden
and my other keeper is Finley. We can only keep 2 guys next year so I'm going Finley and Rodgers

mjd at 5 is a steal, no question. but i highly doubt, that there was no better option at 16. fitz is without warner, that will drop his production.

debatable.
besides, for whatever reason this league was going WR-crazy so i used Fabiano as a guide:
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals (No. 20): I was a little surprised to see Fitzgerald still on the board - Calvin Johnson
was taken two spots ahead of him - so it was a pretty easy choice to call his name. Sure, there are some concerns about the quarterback position in Arizona, but Fitzgerald is still too good to pass on at this point. He should still post 80 catches and 1,000-plus yards.
i mean, i DID do my homework as much as i could. these were not blind picks. ;)

Fitzgerald at round 2 is not a good pick in my opinion. I wouldn't target him until late 3 at the earliest. Spiller, E. Manning, Rivers and MJD were great steals in their respective spots.
