"RedSoxExcel"1) The intentional grounding on Rodgers, what was he thinking?
It wasn't even direct pressure on him if you watch it.
They had the two defenders blocked on the right hand side, just a plain mental mistake.
Ok, stuff happens.
It's not the end of the world. Still 2nd and 20, can make it up.
If they are going to call that intentional grounding on Rodgers, they need to call it on Cutler in the 2nd quarter, when he was deep in Bears territory and got disgusted and whipped the ball out of bounds to the left while standing in the pocket.
I think the refs were just extremely swayed by the home crowd.

"dfosterf"Five things we learned from watching the Bears pull out a rather-improbable win over the error-prone Packers at Solider Field
One thing I learned reading this article: SI.com apparently has no copy editors on staff.

It stuns me to realize Cutler only threw one official interception last night.
That man's luck is Favrelike at times.

This is the Packers fault.
How many Cutler INTs were called back by penalties on us? I could be wrong, but I seem to remember 2.
Would have been a different game.

Yep.
2 picks nullified.
One TD nullified (Tauscher's hold).
One drive shut down by penalty (leading to the blocked kick).
You can go on, but there's no need - reverse the above and it's a laugher and a win for the Packers.
Several have said they didn't deserve to win this game.
I concur, and can only hope that somehow this loss is instructive (yeah, I know it hasn't worked in the past 3 years, but since I can't so much do anything about it, what's left is to hope) and leads to some shit getting straightened out.

This picture is emblematic of our team's annoying nonchalance.
That is Nick Collins sitting on the bench grinning AFTER the team has gone down in defeat.

I'm sorry.
But if you're going to complain about bad calls/non-calls, you have to notice that Clifton got called for not lining up on the line of scrimmage just once the whole game.
When he was well back on virtually every play.
Heck there were some plays when both Clifton AND Colledge were lined up too far back.
And even lined up off the line they still had trouble.
I hate flag-happy refs as much as anyone -- I remember thinking as I watched the first part of the Viking/Lion game that I was glad Hochuli's crew was doing that game so we wouldn't see them last night; and any week without the Triplette crew is a good one.
But the Packers played in a way that should have resulted in double digit penalties.
