We'll hear that it's a must-win game, but that isn't true - 4 losses doesn't finish anyone's season.

I prefer to think of it as an opportunity.
The team's low and a statement win could change the outlook dramatically (much like beating down the Cowboys last year did, but much bigger, as it would be Favre and Co.).

Realistically, if they don't get guys like Pickett, Neal and Matthews back, I don't know that it's possible.
If those guys come back and you also can add someone like Harris, then the defense looks much more capable of getting to Favre and putting him on his butt.
If they can do that, there's a real chance.

It's definitely possible, if a few guys can get healthy.

For all the Mason Crosby hate on this board, let's actually run some numbers.
For comparison sake, let's take the NFC Pro Bowl representative from 2009 vs Mason Crosby in career 50+ yard FG completion %.

A little resume here, David Akers is a 4-time Pro Bowler and 1-time All-Pro.
He's 29th all-time in scoring.
No slouch.

He's 13 for 27 in 50+ FG %.
Mason Crosby is 8 for 14, which is better in regards to percentage.

Crosby also plays in GB which is a bad place for Kickers, especially in November and December.

I think Crosby should get a little bit more credit.

Crosby isn't our problem. An offense that can't get going IS.
If we can't get it rolling right away, it's going to be a LONG night.

Clay will play, hopefully Pickett and Neal do too. Anthony Smith over Peprah is a pretty big upgrade...

I think our D is going to make or break this game. If our injured players come in and make good plays conisistantly, we have a good shot at it. Pass defense will be a huge factor for both teams.

On offense, my biggest worry is the pash rush of the vikes against our weak OL. When your crappy OL has to deal with the likes of guys like Jarred Allen, could make for a rough night.

I predict our D for 3 sacks, 1 int, 1 fumble recovery. Our O for 3 TDs - 2 passing, 1 rushing. Final score 27-24.

We win 35-0. Rodgers has 5 TD's. Clay has 4 sacks. Voldemort throws 3 picks and AP fumbles twice.

Oh yeah, and Tim Masthay hits 2 booming punts over 50 yards.

Realistically, we win 28-24.
