"bboystyle"wow,i didnt know the bears sucked so badly on offense and their secondary is trash...Why all the hype for them?

They allow a lot of yards.
So what? They don't allow points.

Yards are meaningless.
Who cares if your opponent gets 400 yards on you if you limit them to 3 points?

Our D is better, for the record.
However, their D is still in the top 5 and most importantly, da Bears find ways to win games.
You don't get 11 wins in a season by accident.
They were spotted the Lions game though.
That's still 10 wins.

They did it! And my 38-10 prediction was only slightly off the mark!

Just enough for the win.
That the Bears played their starters all game long and we still win is a bonus.

I think the Bears kind of proved that they are the better team today. For them to lead at halftime and take the Packers to the wire in this game was a good way for them to go into the playoffs.

But the new season starts next week.

I was down for saying the Bears are better when they beat us. We beat them, how is that they are better? They had NO pressure in this game and we had ALL of the pressure because win, we are in, lose we go home.

I disagree that the Bears proved they are better, they scored less points than the Packers.

I hadn't thought about it in terms of pressure. The way I was looking at it, the Packers had all the reason in the world to be motivated, and the Bears had very little. Usually games like this are won easily by the team that has something to play for, especially when the talent is about even.

I'll admit that "proved" is too strong a word. But the Bears acquitted themselves very well today, I think.

I think the Bears, to me, proved they have grown over the year.. but they still have the same issue. The head space of Cutler... and his decision making.

Either way.. we earned it, and that is all I wanted from today.. to earn our "dance" card.

I gained a new level of respect for Lovie Smith today and his team.. they showed up and played a hard fought game. The way it should be.. but not many man up like that in today's game.

Congrats Packer players.. you survived a grueling season, filled with injuries.. put "kids" into the roles of men and they came up victorious more times that we could have imagined before the season. Not perfect.. have a wart here or there.. but got that "dance"card.

My hats off to the players, the coaches and the personnel staff for this deep and talented team.

Forever your fan.. Pack93z.
