Nonstopdrivel;193053Cam Newton is on pace for 6,832 yards passing, 16 TDs and 48 INTs.
Oh, and an 0-16 record.
=d>
So he's like Favre in the playoffs?
sorry... just a joke

I couldn't catch a name or number... but did anyone catch who they played as the 2nd FB in the 2 FBs packages? I figure it was one of the TEs but I'm wondering which one they were using there.

For the record, Favre had a winning record in the Playoffs.
P Manning didn't though.
So maybe he's a better example of suckage while announcers slobber all over him.

For the record I said I was joking and I don't think Manning has put up those kinds of passing yards or INTs in the post season (yeah he's been bad but I don't think that many INTs). I could be wrong though. I was mainly looking at all the yards and the INTs when I made the joke.

It was Crabtree.

zombieslayer;193077Yet all we heard from the announcers is how Cam Newton is so awesome.
I said this in the chat, but I don't like it when a QB runs into traffic without sliding.
Call it pussy if you like, but I'd rather see my QB live to fight another day.
Love what [ar] does now, and just slides or runs out of bounds.
Vick never finishes a season because he does the crap that Cam's doing.
If Cam keeps doing this, he won't finish the season.
Cam isn't accurate either.
The deep pass to Steve Smith should have been a TD.
Luckily for us, Smith had to slow down, alloying us to be able to tackle him.
And Cam missed a two-yard TD and the stupid announcer said how "difficult of a pass" it was.
I wanted to slap that guy upside the head.
If you can't complete a 2-yard pass, you don't belong in the NFL.
Woody showed up Cam big time.
We did look sloppy out there.
Hopefully that will be resolved soon.
I want to light up da Bears.
I thought Newton was accurate early in the game, but then he declined. Rex Grossman is like that. Michael Vick used to be like that. Streaky. But Newton is a rookie, so he could improve, and if he gets consistent with his accuracy he could really be something.
I agree about the two-yard pass. By NFL standards, it was not difficult. Jim Mora may be the dumbest announcer out there. He annoyed me throughout the game. The worst was when a Carolina receiver blatantly pushed off and got called for it--on the replay you could see the arm extension and everything--and Mora said "that happens on every play" and it shouldn't have been called. It's no wonder this guy failed as a head coach. He just doesn't seem very bright.

Jim Mora, he's the guy that bailed on the Falcons mid season? Or was that Bobby Petrino?
Either way, rolling out to your right as a right handed QB for a two yard pass to a receiver who is rolling out to their right ... that is not that difficult. It wasn't professional or nothing, but even I was able to make that throw every time. Rolling right, tossing over your body to a guy rolling left ... that's more difficult than the one being discussed.

That was Petrino.
But yeah, I was at a bar where the volume was barely audible and I almost choked on my food when Mora was apologizing for the missed TD pass. I think Mora has a Cam Newton fathead stuck to the ceiling above his bed.

Couple of quick hit thoughts upon the game...
It is apparent that the Packers still have issues covering TE's and Backs out of the backfield.. it is a good thing that Carolina went away from exploiting that issue.. I trust Capers will adjust.
Offensive line, sans a couple of penalties, coverage pick up issues (TE on C Johnson is never a good matchup) and Clifton getting beat a couple of times.. I thought they were the difference in the ball game yesterday. I think that is what Rodgers is hinting.. ride that advantage a bit more.
Waiting to hear about the Pickett injury.. apparently he was carted off the sideline.
Collins looked more precautionary than anything.. it didn't look like a violent hit.
Wynn looks like he finally has arrived in the NFL.. very productive game for the kid.. we still miss Jenkins disruptive nature on the line at this point.. but Wynn and hopefully Neal will grow into that element. I really like the way the kid has played.
I like the one two punch from the backs.. it might have only been me yesterday but Starks looked like he was running lower yesterday. Not as "tall" through the line.. more compact and "shifty".
Finley is a beast.. didn't have a great day (although I think that was a catch for a TD) but he commands so much attention in coverage.. hopefully he gets healthier as the season progresses.
Second game I was impressed with Newton.. for his second start, the kid has been electric, determined and poised.. wait til that kid figures it out. That said.. I think the coaching Staff in NC needs to balance out that attack a bit.. taking a bit of pressure away from him.. pushing a bit at times.
Good game overall for Bush.. kid is really settled down in the past 12 months or so.. it will be interesting when his contract comes due.
Glad to see that full house set again.. it is a nice look for the Packers as a change of pace.
Did you see Rodgers get on Kuhn around the goal line.. Kuhn's facial expression didn't look like he was in agreement with what Rodgers was saying. Would love to have heard the exchange.. lip reading anyone?
Color me one not panicked about our defense after two weeks, at least the secondary that is.. Brees and NO is simply a top tier offensive team and Carolina threw the ball 46 times.. 46.. you are going to give up yards with that attempt count. I am more concerned with a suspect pass rush and the underneath coverage than the secondary.
Next week the defense will be able to feast a bit in the pressure department with the Bear line.. however they better design something to contain Forte.. otherwise it will open up some of the other routes for the Bears. I expect the defense to look good next week if they can contain Forte.. Cutler is already going into the shutdown and wing it mode.. Packers pick him off at least twice.
