I wish we had a healthy Shields for this game. Hopefully our CBs can handle Harvin. I really wanted Shields on that guy.

Christian Ponder has been named the starter by Leslie Frazier
"@JasonLaCanfora: Leslie Frazier has made the change and notified those involved. Christian Ponder takes over as starter."

Interesting tidbits leading into this game:
3 of James Jones' last 7 receptions have been touchdowns.
Desmond Bishop had 20 tackles in the Rams game, giving him 72 for the season.

Another interesting tidbit: The Packers are rushing 3 more than any team in the league. Some are speculating that this is due to injuries to players like Matthews.
Others are speculating that Capers is deliberately staying vanilla, hoping to roll out the surprises as the postseason approaches.

I have noticed that he also keeps Matthews on one side and has not moved him around. I saw only one snap at the Rams game when Matthews was in another location.

Nagler from Cheeseheadtv noted that he seems to be rushing three until we have a good lead, then he brings the heat, knowing that the other team is being forced to throw to catch up.

Dom hasn't had to rush more as there has been a lot of garbage time and "prevent defense" which has caused opponents to use a lot of clock.
He won't dial anything up for the vikling goatsuckers and may not have to against the Chargers.
Maybe Thanksgiving.

Ponder is in as you all know.
Not sure on the injury front for your guys' team, but the Vikings may be out 4 starters.
3 of which won't be noticed much, IMO.
The only one I'm remotely concerned about as a Viking fans is Winfield.
I don't want him on the field if he isn't healthy, though.
It's a neck injury so its something to take caution on.
No one here has the nuts to take a sig/avatar bet with me, so I'll make a reserved projection that the Packers will win, but not by as much and ZS wants them to.
I think it'll be a scrappy game.

I felt more comfortable about this game when Donovan McNabb was starting. With Christian Ponder taking over, it starting to feel like the Packers vs Buccaneers in '09 when Josh Freeman made his first start.
Ponder appears to be a mobile QB with a decent arm. I didn't pay much attention to him so I really have no clue.
