Rodgers has had some trouble against the Bucs. On his Tuesday radio show, Wilde alluded to this fact and Rodgers, exasperated, said something to the effect of, “ugh, yeah I’ve had trouble with Tampa.” Total paraphrase but it was in that vein. Anyway, it’s pretty clear this Bucs team is not the same as the ones Rodgers has faced over the last few years, so hopefully it won’t be a problem.
Just line up the points for/against and it’s pretty clear this should be a bi-ol-DUBYA for the Packers.
===========================================================
Bucs Points For = 17.3 / Packers Points Agains = 20.7
Bucks Points Against = 25.9 / Packers Points For = 35.6
===========================================================
I don’t expect the Bucs to roll over, but the game is in Green Bay, the offense continues to roll, and there are (hopefully) initial indications that the defense is getting its shit together. Both Williams and Shields had nice, quiet games against the Vikings. I can’t see why that wouldn’t be the case against the Bucs. 31-10 Packers.

I don't think the Pass D should be ranked by yards given up. That stat is more than meaningless. it is actually opposite of what you are trying to show.
The teams that gave up 400+ yards in a game won 73% of the time.
D passer rating would be more relevant. At least when that is low, you tend to win more.

Guess which team has had the fewest offensive possessions and yet leads the league in scoring?

I agree, but I don't know where to find those stats Tuesday mornings.

This series has been favored by the home team in recent years. The Bucs have a suspect run defense and don't get a ton of pressure on the QB. Their best defensive linemen, DT Gerald McCoy, is out for the season. Talib and Barber are their best players in their secondary, but we definitely have the ability to take advantage of the back-end of their secondary in the passing game. If the defense can get similar pressure like they did against the Vikings, I can see them forcing Freeman into the mistakes he's been more prone to this season than in the past. He's thrown more INTs than TDs this season and his top receivers have regressed somewhat this season. The Bucs should play us tough, but no reason we should lose this game at home in cooler weather. 27-17 Packers.

Aaron Rodgers was told by Bucs he would be the 5th overall pick days before the 2005 draft.
Uh-oh ... is that a chip on Rodgers shoulder?
Nope, no chip.

Aaron RodgersJon actually called me, when I was in New York, on Thursday, April 21st, and sounded like at the time they were going to take me with the 5th pick,
Back in 2005, I think it was maybe April or late March, Jon came out with Paul Hackett and said he had a surprise for me after we kind of watched some film and talked some ball.
One of my childhood, favorite players, being a huge 49ers fan growing up, Jerry Rice comes walking down the steps and I get to throw passes to him.
Think about a 21-year-old kid throwing to one of your idols, how nervous you think you would be, I was that and then some. I overthrew him a couple times, but it was exciting to be able to throw to him and to work with Jon and Paul, great coaches, who had been around the game a long time.
I don’t fault them for taking Cadillac, he had an incredible college career and a great rookie season. He was slowed down by some injuries. But I don’t blame them at all or don’t hold any animosity toward Jon and Bruce or the organization. Everything kind of happens for a reason. Looking back on when they came out and visited me in Berkeley, that was one of my top moments in my sports career, being able to throw to Jerry Rice.
Nope, no chip.

Got extremely lucky and scored some tickets in section 124, row 6. Beyond jacked for this game right now as it will be the 2nd of the season (1st against the Rams and a 3rd coming up @ Arrowhead December 18th). I wasn't even planning to go to a game this season.
I don't think the Bucs offense can keep up with the Packers offense and if the Packers defense plays the way they did on Monday night then this game is going to end early. Packers fired on all cylinders Monday and really showed that they can be a complete team. Its going to be in the 30's so that should definitely play into the hands of the Packers.
What I'll be looking for in this game:
-Better offensive line communication. The Vikings used a lot of different fronts and stunts to confuse the Packers. It worked. Gotta think that the communication between Lang and Newhouse is good enough now to where there should be no lack in communication and assignment.
-Defense generating pressure on Freeman. Woodson had a little pow-wow with Capers and Capers unhooked the leash Monday. It had amazing results. I hope that Capers dials up something similar against the Bucs. I never really watch the Bucs so I don't know how good Freeman is at scrambling. I know he is a giant so its going to take more than one to take him down at times.
I am sure there is more, but I can't think straight. [palm]
Packers- 35
Buccaneers- 14

If my wife is still in hospital as looks likely that this will be the first packer game I'll not be ale to watch on TV or by other means (nudge, nudge) in it's entirity in 4 seasons.
I'll be back from hospital around 8:00pm UK time 2pm Wisconsin time so will catch the end of the 3rd and the 4th quarter. Probably just in time to see Flynn take over from Rodgers in mop up time.
Packers 48 - 13 Buccs
4th time the pack score over 40 points this season
I'm praying for a Lions and Bears loss as well so if we win on Thursday the division will be ours with one more Bears loss.
