I didn't post a season prediction, but I thought that the Tampa game was our biggest chance to lose.
It had all the makings of a perfect trap game.
Tampa has beaten us a few times lately
We are are in the middle of an 11 day 3 game stretch
It is bookended by the Vikings and Lions games
Tampa has been struggling lately but was good enough to beat the Saints once this year
We just came off an emotional and sound beating of Minnesota
I think next week the O goes back to being an unstoppable machine and the D continues to build on the success of last week.
The Lions are over rated. They are beating teams they should beat, but still losing to good teams.

Just a history note. The Packers playing the Lions on Thanksgiving was a tradition started in the 50's.
After 1962, Lombardi said forget it.
A short week with the Lions always at home gave the Lions a competitive edge.
Lombardi ended the tradition.

Hmmmm.....looks like the last time the Packers went to Detroit on Thanksgiving and being 10-0, the Lions kicked their ass. Ha! sacked Bart Starr 11 times!!!!
History of Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers Thanksgiving Day football games
The Detroit Lions have played football on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit every year since 1934, with the exception of the war years of 1939-44. The team they have played the most on Thanksgiving Day is the Green Bay Packers. The Lions and Packers have met 19 times on Thanksgiving, including 13 straight years from 1951 through 1963. The Lions lead the series with a record of 11-7-1. Here is a brief history of the Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers Thanksgiving Day football rivalry.....
One of the more famous, or for Packers' fans infamous, Thanksgiving Day games was the 1962 game. The Packers were the defending NFL champs and came into the game undefeated with a 10-0 record. In a dominating performance on defense, the Lions sacked Packers quarterback Bart Starr 11 times, including once in the end zone for a safety. Detroit won 26-14

If it's close, if the Packers let the Lions hang around or come back to be close in the fourth quarter, then there's a better than even chance this is going to be loss #1.
But the closer Thursday gets, the less I think this is going to be close.
I don't think Rodgers is going to have inaccuracy problems two weeks in a row.
I think the D is going to come out with serious attitude.
And I think Stafford, his head coach, and the Detroit defense are all overrated.
As long as the
Packers avoid the cursed Hochuli and Triplette crews, and the assumed 2-3 cheap/chippy shots by the Lions don't knock Rodgers out, I think this game over before the fourth quarter.
41-9.

I believe we will get far enough ahead in the first half that the Packers will begin to coast. The Lions will mount a comeback in the third and we will hold on and win by 7.

I have always found recent history to be more relevant when trying to predict a win. Or in your case a loss.
The last 5 games against Detroit on Thanksgiving, I think we are something like 4-1.

Steve Young said something interesting. Everyone has kind of been on the Lions have arrived bus lately and maybe the Packers go into the game wanting to say ... hey you've made a step forward but you're still not "here" and when better to show the world that the Packers are still the best team in the division by beating the Lions on Thanksgiving with everyone watching.
