wpr;200227The location of the ball is inconsequential.
Aaron Rodgers has been throwing back should passes all year long.
Everyone has been laughing or marveling that he has been getting away with it.
If the defender had only turned around he could have intercepted the ball comments are made every week.
sometimes 3-4 times in a game.
It is a gutsy pass that they pull off to perfection time and time again.
This time the ball needed to be a few inches more to Finley's left.
He would have been able to lean back toward the goal line and grab the ball.
The ball could have also been a little higher to allow JerMike to out jump the defender.
every single pass can't be perfect to within 2-3 inches.
Actually as I type this I think the defender took the ball off Finley's chest didn't he?
That means he had the first, best chance to catch the ball he just didn't wrap it up when it got to him.
This wasn't a back shoulder pass though, it was a fade/jump ball.
If it was a back shoulder pass then it was still in the wrong place because it wasn't behind the defender enough.
I think it's on AR which makes it all the more surprising.

Careful bud, some folks around these parts fully believe Aaron Rodgers can do, and does do no wrong. Even though I did "play" QB, I feel the ball should have been higher and more deep towards the corner. I say this because then you utilize Finley's height and jumping ability, which I believe is the purpose of Finley in that position.
I still think Finley could have done more, however, when you're falling backwards it can be challenging to not brace your fall and knock a ball out of a guys hands, who had some illegal contact to begin with.

On another note I was real happy with what I saw out of Smith and Francois.
Smith is a playmaker and seems to always be around the ball carrier.
Platooning on the offensive line seemed to lead to [ar] getting hit a bit too often.
[thumbdn] on that.

Zero2Cool;200228When he rolled up he had this "duh what just happened" look on his face.
Don't worry, I read everything you said.
But this right here sums up why I'm mad.
You HAVE to have an awareness of where the other guy is.
It's like Finley didn't even know he was there.
WTH?

and some people seem to believe that an Aaron Rodgers pass wasn't good enough even if it hits the WR directly on both hands because it wasn't placed in the exact perfect location.

lol, I think it hit him in the chest, not the hands. Maybe we should call Finley "Featherstone" lol

Now I don't normally do this, but agree with Zero on this one.
That ball was low.
It should have been placed a foot higher so Finley could have caught it above his head.
Also, there should have been a pass interference flag thrown.

Haha what were his hands doing then if the ball hit him in the chest before he could get hands on it?
