What scares me most about the Bears is their run game and our inability to stop the run game. In order for us to win I think we will need to do that and get pressure on Cutler. I'm not confident we can do either. It should be a close game though.

Yeah, the big if is if [ar] can come out and score early and force a shootout between him and Cutler.
If that happens, we win.
If it doesn't, we lose.

The way to stop the run when you have no run D is to score early and often and force the other team to play catch up.

We'll split with each of our NFC North division opponents.
You had your chance to win something big.
I would have said sweep + points.
Too late now....

Whatever you say Mitt.

We'll discuss this weeks game(s) further.[grin1]

What I would be tempted to say to the team today if I were MM:

The assistant coaches and I were going to stay up all night putting together a new game plan.
But we're not going to.
Since yesterday looked like a practice -- and a bad one at that --
we're going to use the same game plan this week.

So get it right this time, you friggin' morons, and execute.

Haven't heard any injury related news for the Packers, but as for the Bears...Tillman is out right now with a lower leg injury and Urlacher was benched.

Let's be realistic here. I will try my hardest not to discount the Bears win on Sunday, but they did what they were supposed to do against a very untalented team with a new rookie (good) quarterback. Packers played a completely different caliber team in the 49ers...don't get why or how people are discounting them as a team. Alex Smith is a marginal qb, ok...they are still a top team in the NFL because of their defense and other offensive weapons.

Packers needed their A+ game to beat the 49ers and the Bears needed their C+ game to beat the Colts.

With all of that said, I still think this is a close game as they typically all are. Cutler now has a new and often used target in B. Marshall (take an effin hint, Capers) and they have a good run game with Forte.
Packers have an elite passing offense and the Bears secondary is slim. I think with the way our offensive line played against the 49ers defense, they shouldn't have any problems with the Bears defense.

Rodgers outplays Cutler.
Defense actually plays a majority of the game.

Packers- 31
Bears- 28

Until last night I wasn't worried about this game at all, now I know we are in for a battle that we have a seemingly low chance of winning.

their offense looks good
our defense looks terrible
our offense doesnt look all that good

gonna be tough

Aaron Rodgers game outcome for Week 2 games.

2008 won by 23 against @Detroit
2009 lost by 7 against Cincinnati
2010 won by 27 against Buffalo
2011 won by 7 against @Carolina

So, I'm going to Packers win against the Bears by 24.
Packers 34, Bears 10.

I hope you are right Zero.
The Bears must be licking their chops right now. The Packers didn't execute in any point yesterday, except Cobb.
If the Packers lose to the Bears, it could put them in a hole that will be hard to get out of. It would,nt end the season, but it would be a horrible start.
After watching yesterday, it's hard to remain positive. Not that i'm giving up on the season! It just was hard to watch. The niners were prepared, and the Packers were not. That was obvious.

Quoting self to add to original post...

Dwight Freeney was injured and out of the game either in the first quarter or early second quarter. Before his exit, the Colts pressured Cutler a lot and got in a few sacks (caused the pick 6). Just something to think about with this (so far) upgraded pass rush of the Packers. Bears offensive line is still garbage.

*stands by previous prediction.

The Bears hosted a team that won two games last season.

The Packers hosted a team that played in the NFC Championship game last season.

Just sayin'

It'll be competitive and it'll come down to Jay Cutler. Does he turn the ball over? We win if he does. We lose if he takes care of it. I'm also interested in how Green Bay handles Julius Peppers.
