He's a better pass rusher I think than guys like Billings and Reed.
He's a good run defender but not in the stand there and eat up blocks way.
He's more like Daniels against the run where he's going to read the play then get up field and cause disruption or make the tackle which seems to be what they've been looking for out of the D-linemen.
Not the same as Daniels though Daniels wins with quickness and leverage where Clark wins with strength and leverage.
He will probably make a good compliment to Daniels when there are 2 linemen on the field.

I remember seeing (or hearing) about Kenny Clark and his father in a media report. I did not realize it was the same person from that report until following the draft. I went to NFL.com and found the same info Zero posted. Perhaps this will be a positive change for Kenny and his family.
I hope he will live up to the 1st pick label.
Also, I did not know that Reggie Rageland has heart problems. I'm not comfortable taking on more problems, when many need to be addressed already. Sorry Reggie, KC may want you though..

DakotaT;349955The artist formerly known as Rajiroar is just pissed Kenny will be replacing his favorite bust.
First:
My favorite bust was Brian Brohm. God I was so wrong.
Second:
I had an account with a non-retard name before "Rajiroar", I just forgot the info. It was supposed to be temporary I swear!
Third:
Raji killed it in 2010 and 6'd the Bears for the Halas trophy in their house, he is undoubtedly one of Ted's best front 7 picks, sad as that is.
Im never gonna live that damn name down.

There I was feeling lame that I didn't really follow any players individually during the college football season and then I remembered that I watched quite a few UCLA games and once I heard that name called a light went off and was like "aww shit!" The guy was almost always effecting the play in some way or another even when he wasn't getting a tackle on his own. He has a lot of potential. I'm stoked.

I figure I would be best to wait the night to post.
I think the pick makes a lot of sense, but I'm still a bit baffled we didn't trade back as a trade happened before and after our pick so it would appear there were opportunities to trade down.
I am pretty sure we could have landed him at 31.
It may have been a bit of stress waiting for the San Fran pick, but we may have been able to get him there as well.
Maybe the Broncos and Niners didn't contact us or Ted was asking for too much.
Feel like we lost out on another pick if this was our guy.

SOURCES TELL US "What bothers me about Clark is that he was so much better against weaker competition than he was against better talent. I like him, but not like everyone is hyping him up." -- AFC Pac-12 scout
He'll fit right in.
Alot of guys do better against weaker competition.

Bigbyfan;349965The fact that Jack fell completely out of the 1st round draft means that knee is serious. I feel bad for the guy.
Agreed. His tape is crazy. I heard he would be the second best RB and the second best safety in the draft if he decided to play Either of those positions full time.

I've been bouncing around from site to site reading scouting reports on him and the common theme has been he's a high effort player and effort is never a question with him.
As for what that source said. Who doesn't do better against weaker competition than better competition? That just feels like common sense to me. I'm clearly missing something.

Denver traded up with Seattle who had a better pick than us.
There would be no reason for them to trade with us instead.
The only trade ups that happened after our pick were back into the 2nd round.
Maybe we could have landed him somewhere in the 2nd round but the same thing would be said had we picked Vernon Butler and look what happened there.
