This is going to be a very ugly game, I can see it already. Not too flashy just a lot of tough, physical action. Can't wait!

I think we COULD beat them if we played a good game plan. My uneducated plan would be.

Instruct players not to leave their position. Don't over load the box.
Overloading the box is going to have the second layer of defense riddled with holes for Peterson to exploit.

I'd run a lot of blitz's too. Tight zone coverage and hit the QB as often as possible.

If Mike McCarthy gets outcoached AGAIN this season...by Brad "I look like a bum and am one" Childress...

I also wouldn't blitz that much this game.
Come with a more conservative game plan on defense.
Favre has seen EVERYTHING.
He still has the arm to make us pay if he reads our blitzes.
The last thing I want is AP, Harvin, or Chester Taylor matched up one-on-one with any of our LBs or Derrick Martin.
They're gonna make em miss the tackle more often than not and burn us for big yardage.
We need to apply pressure with 4 defenders this week, which is why I want to see more of Matthews.
Poppinga isn't capable of winning 1 on 1's.

I'm not sure I agree. If we play a conservative defense, Favre will dink and dunk the Vikings down the field for massive yardage and huge time of possession.
Yes, there are times when he's under intense blitz pressure that he pulls miracle downfield throws out of his ass, but very frequently even he gets rattled and starts throwing the ducks up for grabs.
Even the very best quarterback in the league -- Peyton Manning -- throws interceptions when he's under intense pressure (how many 6-INT games has he had in the past couple of years?).
But that's the thing -- the pressure has to get there, or Favre will simply step up in the pocket and gash
the defense with deep outs, play action, the occasional bomb, and perhaps even a draw play for good measure.

I say hit the man as many times as humanly possible.
Let's see some of those disguised coverages Capers promised us in the offseason.
That's the main reason I was so excited about his hiring.
Watching defenses like Baltimore disguise their formations is a thing of beauty.

Favre has been sacked 9 times so far. So teams are obviously getting pressure on him so take advantage of that.

True, and you can count on one hand the number of games in which he's had more than 2, and none (besides the spectacular meltdown in 2007 against the Chargers) have been recently.

I think I must have been thinking about Jake Delhomme in the 2008 playoffs, when he threw 5 INTs.
But he's been an interception machine lately (7 INTs to 3 TDs this season alone!).
