Damn.
I was really hoping we'd get our 2nd shutout against the Cows.

Me too.....but a junk TD doesn't bother me. We didn't give up ANY big plays. Not on D, or special teams.
I'm proud of how they gave it 110% today!
If they can keep that attitude, we have a realistic shot at the wild card.

"Zero2Cool""Nonstopdrivel"By the way, this is the first time I've picked against the Packers all year. That says a lot.
Yeah, it says you care more about being right than being a fan. :)
I pick the Packers, every week. I even picked them during the bye week. That's how I roll. I'm a fan, through good and bad. Always rooting for them, always picking them to win.

What a great, great win. Helluva game by Woodson, though you expect nothing less from the top CB in the NFL.

I need to pick against the Packers more often. My prediction wasn't even in the correct galaxy, much less the right star system.
By the way, anyone else have the thought that Aaron Kampmann's ticket out of Green Bay might have been signed and dated today?

Absolutely the most enjoyable game that I've ever seen.
This was one of the best defensive efforts from the Packers in quite a while. I really, really hope to see this more often. 5 sacks, some crazy blitzes, constant pressure... it's like a fricken' dream come true.

What I noticed is this.
We went with a lot more exotic blitzes. I think to cover up for Kampman not being in there and not having that designated DE/OLB. I don't think that Dallas was expecting that.
This was the 'playfull' defense that we saw in pre-season. A lot of unorthodox blitzing, people coming up from the secondary.
I don't think that Kampman is a real liability, I just think that Capers overrates him. Left without a choice, we brought multiple people. I just hope that we keep this going once Kampman does get back.
Okay, rehashed that from another thread, but it fit so nicely.
I think that Kampman's ticket out of Green Bay was stamped quite a while ago. I really do think that he'll be gone in the off-season and that we'll just draft another DE/OLB prospect. It's a shame, but he's just not fitting in that well. The defense performing so well without him just magnifies it.
Like I said, though, he's not a liability, but he's not that good either in this system.

Packers beat Cowboys 17-7 to snap win streak
Provided by PA Sports
Written on November 15, 2009
GREEN BAY, Wis.(AP)
Charles Woodson helped Green Bays defense
finally play up to its potential against a big-time opponent,
forcing two fumbles and picking off a pass by Tony Romo on the
goal line in a 17-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
It wasnt a pretty win for the Packers (5-4), but it might have
saved their season after back-to-back demoralizing losses.
The Packers sacked Romo five times and held him to 251 yards
passing in a momentum- killer for the Cowboys (6-3), who had won
four straight. Dallas also lost starting right tackle Marc
Colombo to a broken left leg.
Aaron Rodgers scored on a quarterback sneak and threw a
touchdown pass to tight end Spencer Havner.
For this article to already be in Google, BleacherReport.com must be a much more prominent website than I realized.
Google gives priority to news-oriented sites when it spiders the web, but I always considered BR to be mostly a fan-run site.

One thing that did concern me about this game was how skinny Rodgers looked.
He came into the season looking like he'd gained a significant amount of weight over the previous year, but as the weeks have gone on, he seems to be losing it.
Compared to, say, Romo, he looks about as big as a college quarterback. Obviously he isn't, but his lithe appearance makes him seem fragile compared to some of the guys out there.
Maybe it isn't possible in the rigors of a full NFL season, but I'd like to see him bulk up a little over the next few weeks. I don't like cringing every time I see him go down.
