Nonstopdrivel;197358I have often remarked that it would be interesting if a quarterback fumbled a snap on a kneel-down.
Well, Philip Rivers did just that yesterday.
I hope that doesn't happen in this game, because that would mean that the Chargers were leading as time expired.
On his show with Jason Wilde Rodgers was saying that when they were in victory formation in the Super Bowl all he could think about was making sure not to fumble the snap.
As far as the Chargers go, I watched the Monday night game too. Pretty awful football. For about half of each drive Rivers looked pretty good. The Chiefs were playing man almost the entire game and I thought, "if the Packers come in and do the same thing we did against the Vikings (almost entirely man) then Rivers is going to chew us up." But then he made mistakes or the Chiefs would make a play. The Packers secondary hasn’t been super amazing this year so far, but I think they can play at the same level as the Chiefs. Hope so at least. I don’t think it’s too crazy to expect a couple of interceptions. I like to see the line get a couple of sacks on Rivers too, if only to smoosh his stupid face into the ground. In a nice way, though.
Baring flukey turnovers or penalties I’ll be shocked if the Packers offense doesn’t tear through the Chargers in the first half. Then I imagine we’ll see a bit more of the running game and Rodgers playing to protect the football. It would be nice to see the offense dominate through the air in the first half and then see Grant and Starks have a great second. Combine that with limiting the Chargers to 14 points and it will feel like a very complete game, tie a nice little bow on the second quarter of the season.

Rockmolder;197540Anyway, I reckon we'll win this win.
Well, I would certainly rather win this win than lose this win. [grin1]

In his most recent column, Gregg Easterbrook said he wonders if all the time modern quarterbacks spend in the shotgun has reduced their skill under center.
It is an interesting question.

We'll have to see which Chargers team shows up.
This is our toughest game until the Bears on Xmas day.
We win this, I bet we go 15-1.
Go Pack.

The Lions on Thanksgiving?
Mate, the Chargers haven't looked good once all year.
Their 4 wins come against Kansas City, Minnesota, Miami and Denver.
Miami is the only team they've beaten by more than one score.
The one good team they've faced all year, New England, pimp slapped them.
If the Packers show up and do their thing it should be a blow out.

I live in Orange County and I can't believe they are showing the Giants/Patriots and not the Packer game.
I'm hoping they might change it at the last minute.

I'd prefer that because then that means I won't miss the first part of the Packers game because the early game over laps. Instead, I'd be able to flip to the DirecTV channel and get the whole game. ;)
