Packers 24, Niners 27. Crystal Ball says Packers offense starts off slow but gets it going halfway through the 2nd quarter against a very tough Niners defense, Packers defense has problems with Gore early, eventually locks him down but gets burned a few times off the play action.
I'll take myself out back and shoot myself for predicting against the packers. [suicide]

Jones and Driver win the game for us.
[mm] calls a lot of 4 WR sets.
Gregorious and Jordy are well-covered, but the Niners' 3rd and 4th CBs get continually burned for first down after first down.
Alex Smith TRIES to play catch up.
We score early and often, taking Frank Gore out of the game.
Someone other than CM3 gets 2 sacks.
Smith throws a pair of INTs.
Niners' front office once again punches themselves in the ding ding for picking Alex Smith over [ar].
34-20 Packers.

I don't think this will be a good game for us execution wise in the receiving game. I think we get ran on quite a bit too. I do think our running shows some life.
Prediction
Green Bay - 17
San Francisco - 20

This is the game I fear the most all season, until playoffs.
Packers get to a 13 point lead in the 3rd and then we sweat it throughout the 4th as the niners make it close.

Love when these threads show up again... I have a bad feeling about this game, but I think Aaron Rodgers, as Greg Jennings has done before, puts the team on his back and wins this game in a 4th quarter comeback against a very talented 9ers crew.

My opinion... this game comes down to their secondary vs our passing game.
I think they will get some pressure.. but I don't see there pass rush in the same caliber as the Giants.
So it will come down to their coverage packages verses our passing game.. if we exploit early them, they will not be able to keep up with our offense.
However if we don't jump on them early, this may be a bad game for the Packers. Their offense is a grinder type of game.. even if they have "five #1 receivers". I don't think they can score more than 21 - 24 on us unless they get up and just pound us with running game.
I don't like this to be a game where we establish the run and use it for more than balance and at least pausing the pass rush. That front seven verse the run is brutal.
So can we exploit that secondary and score more than 24?
If so.. I think we win.. if not.. we lose this game.
I think we can beat that secondary.. so I think 28 - 24 or something in that neighborhood.

We seem to usually light up the 49ers defense. That was before they were the monsters they were last year but a high octane blitzing team like the 49ers may get torched. I've never seen Rodgers struggle a whole game against a blitzing team, in fact it's usually fairly opposite.
The 49ers may have to rush 4 guys all game which really isn't what they typically do. I'm worried about Newhouse... If he gets beat I want it to be more on a bullrush than letting the guy run around him, a mistake he made all of last year.
