Defensively, San Fran will bring pressure and Rodgers will make them pay. You simply cannot blitz this guy. He's too dangerous, so the 49ers will enter with a game plan to run the ball and keep him off the field. They’re going to play the clock game and setup a lot of third and mediums or third and shorts. The Packers have to get their offense off the field and that means winning those third and two battles versus their o-line and forcing Alex Smith into poor decisions when he drops back.

Packers 24
Niners 17

I think our defense will shine. And our offense will be more like last season, not like the preseason.
It will be close, but our O will be able to run the ball in the 4th quarter, and will run out the clock.

I have no clue this week.

Packers:
Something.
49ers:
Something less than something.

Odd Factoid.

My math tells me that the Packers and 49ers combined for 28 regular-season victories last season. According to Elias Sports Bureau, there has only been one other occasion -- ever -- when season opener pitted teams with more combined victories in the previous year. That came in the 1999 season opener between the Minnesota Vikings (15 victories in 1998) and Atlanta Falcons (14).
