In back to back games now, Aaron Rodgers has kept his eyes down field instead of run for his life. I like the trend and hope it continues.

I was not someone who thought Geronimo dropped a lot of passes. He seemed to always drop the first one, but catch the next passes. I'm done. He can be released this morning for all I care. That said, I hope he is healthy after that hit.

Speaking of Geronimo, that hit was a legal hit. The defender has equal right to try and catch the ball.

I was also someone who wanted to see what our WR's could do. I'm done. Bring someone in.
Darius is garbage. Jimmy Graham is trash (although he had one really impressive catch to move the chains). Geronimo can't catch.

WR's are Adams, Valdes-Scantling, Lazzard, Kumerow. The rest can eat yellow snow.

The officiating of games is absolutely trash. Those two hands to face penalties were absolutely garbage, but it was easy to see why they were called. One angle it looked like dudes hand was reaching the guys forehead!

At the end of the game, I would have rather saw us try to score a TD than rely on a FG attempt. I do get it though. RB could fumble. Ball could be tipped and picked.

Overall, I am not happy about the performance of any phase other than defense. The defense did a damn good job. The offense/special teams yielded three turnovers and they still held the Lions to 5 FG's and only 1 TD.

We didn't deserve this win, but we have been on the other end of it too.

Unless people want to sit through 6-7 hour games where EVERYTHING is reviewable,
those calls are going to continue to happen.

You can't forget that the refs are calling these plays at REAL time.

They have don't have the benefit of super slow mo and frame by frame.

I would say either make evrything reviewable or drop instant replay altogether .

There is no middle area anymore.

The fix is simple. Make the rules more black/white.
Reviewing a replay frame by frame is stupid. If that is what you need to do, then call it a tie and ties go to the "runner".
NFL needs to set strict black/white rules and stop fucking with them every mother fucking year!
Even the god damn officials don't know the rules sometimes. Coaches are confused. Players are confused.
Fans are furious.
It has me losing interest in football altogether.

Nice write up.

True we didnt deserve the win with those penalties called our way but as you said there are many games where its the other way around or even in this game there were a few that could of been called against the lions.

To be honest I never liked JG on our team especially not in favor of dropping jordy.
Still dont see why he became the highest paid TE ... I know because in the past he caught a lot of TD passes.

Mercades Lewis had some nice catches thou.

Marcedes Lewis is a stud, I want him starting!
I forgot to single him out in my first post. I was happy as hell to see him play as well as he did.
Well, happy as hell to see ANYONE play how he did.

Releasing Jordy was clearly the right decision. We signed two players for his salary savings and he didn't have anything much left and Packers took three WRs in the draft. I hated to see him go, but time is time.

Signing Jimmy Graham was clearly not the right decision.

I was optimistic Graham would do for us like Finley, but I am not seeing it. Someone on Twitter said Jimmy Graham is an expensive Richard Rodgers. I would like to add that he doesn't have the hands that Rodgers had, but has the same speed.

I have a question. Remember the one play where our guy hit the Lions WR early in the chest, and PI wasn’t called? Couldn’t the Lions coach have challenged that non call?
I’m glad he didn’t of course.
The commentators kept talking about it.

I wouldn't be upset on that either way. Meaning called or not called.
I think it was obvious he touched the WR early, but I am not sure I can say it "significantly hinders an eligible player’s opportunity to catch the ball" as is the rule.

That's how I thought the officials saw it. WRs from all teams cry so much about PI it seems that refs are swallowing the whistle more than in the past.

You know, this is going to make for a very interesting match up in week 17. It won't matter if the Lions have been bounced from play off contention or not. They will want to get their pound
of flesh.

With GB playing at MN on Monday the week before it will put a little extra pressure on them.

Yeah. It's really easy to show still images and say SEE HE MADE THE CONTACT EARLY!

But even from the super slow mo replays, it was fairly obvious that while there was contact early, it was extremely minimal and didn't really hinder the receiver.

I feel like the more the NFL engages the penalty whiners the worse things are going to get. It's already worse this year with PI being reviewable and lo and behold, nothing's actually been fixed by making PI reviewable. People need to get over the fact that this is a game called by flawed officials and reviews done by other flawed officials - Sometimes you get screwed, sometimes the other team gets screwed. People want an impossible system where officials don't make crucial mistakes and in their effort to fix that problem, make the problem even worse.
