Pass defense is still a soup sandwich, though...

Woodson might be playing a lot of safety this year, because Dr. J hasn't shown me anything yet.
Also Graham Harrell is leaving a lot to be desired.
Davon House is going to win the starting corner position opposite Tramon.

Yeah 69, he outkicks his coverage every time.

Our backup O-lineman are sucking ass.

So'oto looked pretty damn good late in the game.

Offensive line looked horrible throughout the game, especially Datko and Taylor.

RB Tyler runs hard.

House looked pretty damn good, and physical. I hope his injury isn't too bad.
Why the HELL was he a punt coverage gunner so late in a pre-season game????
Coaching fail, imo.

Starks sucked.

Hayward didn't look sharp.
Nor did McMillian or any other young guy in the secondary.

Nick Perry looked pretty beastly at times.
The guy is strong.
I think he has a ton of potential as a pass rusher.

Worthy didn't stick out much at all to me tonight.
Seemed to get swallowed up most the game.

I'm really worried about Bishops injury.
Anything other than a season ending injury would be great, because it didn't look good.

Did Shields not play?

Harrell struggled, but considering what he was working with, he looked decent.
Got better at the game went on.

Coleman got thrown out in a rough situation for his first NFL snaps.

Did T. Manning play?

Smith was all around the ball, but could have tackled better.

Moses didn't seem to do much on defense, but he made some splash plays on special teams.
If he keeps that up, he likely earns a spot on the team.

Punting was great.

I was hoping to see more of Hargrove and Neal, but due to their suspensions, they didn't get time until late in the 4th quarter.
When they were playing, I didn't notice them making any impact.
It's too bad about their suspensions, as they could be the Packer's best hope of being the 2-5th best defensive linemen, and even better than that in terms of pass rush from the inside.

That was some very weak tea.

Coming off that Giants game at the end of last year...

We appear to have lost our mo-jo.
I'd have rolled different, were I in charge.

I think we can also assume that the concept of the Pack as a "deep" team is mostly b.s. / hype.

Eh, the Packer's have their holes, like all teams.
But everything is relative, and overall, we are a "deep" team.
The 2010 season proved that.
Each season is a new story, but there will always be areas of weakness.
It's looking like offensive line and safety will be the case this season.
But to be fair, it's going to take some time to replace a guy like Nick Collins.
If he was still healthy and playing, anyone else beside him likely looks decent at worst.
Also, Sherrod getting healthy would instantly make the depth along the offensive line look much better.

As for the "mo-jo": It seemed to me like a lot of the life was sucked out of the Packer's after Bishops injury, which is understandable.
No team wants to see a key starter potentially lost for the season early in the first preseason game.
That's a good way to make things run flat quickly.

DJ Smith will handle the position just fine.
AJ Hawk will get to keep his job yet another year.
First Barnett, and now Bishop.
Good luck with your rehab Desmond.

The Packers signed OG/OT hybrid named Wells today for depth.
But agree on Taylor and Datko, neither is ready for real action.

Graham Harrell was aggravating, to me.
I'm at once very spoiled by Rodgers, coupled with the fact that I felt comfy with the unheralded Flynn, and saw what I saw for most of 28 years of QB suckage during our "drought".
That kind of QB performance shit makes me very paranoid.
I'd be looking for his replacement hard, RFN, if I were in charge.

The boy doesn't appear to have it.
